Befores and afters. A three stage correction was done. The paint was not amazingly hard but somewhat finicky to finish down. The compounding stage left a little more micro marring than I was happy with so an intermediate stage was used to properly step down the finishing so that the final stage was purely for jewelling/burnishing and maximising gloss.

Rear boot lid. Some scratches couldn't be completely removed due to the aforementioned low paint levels. The decision was made to preserve the clear coat rather than chase these completely out

The new Rupes iBrid Polisher making light work of difficult areas such as above the mirror mounts

Not a hint of micro marring once finished. Just the way I like it

In the hatch-well the rubbers were badly caked with old residue which took the better part of an hour to clean out

Around the external rubbers too

The result of the above before and after pic of the top of the door rubber. I went through three clean microfibre cloths while removing this sort of residue around the car.

The aftermarket exhaust tips hadn't been cleaned in some time
