The car as presented. Some tasteful mods including modified exhaust, lowered suspension, larger wheels/tires, and visual highlights set it apart from a standard 370z quite well

Light scuffs on either side of the car on the lower sills

Wheels with some recent tar spotting.

The polished outer lip of the rims had also lost a fair bit of gloss

The aftermarket exhaust

Chemical decontamination breaking down the tar spotting

Then a rinse and a full APC soak, brush and another rinse

Chemical decontamination of the paint

Foam wash

and brushwork around the badges and other hard to reach areas

Gratuitous Z Club shot

Post wash inspection. Light swirling most prominent on the roof

Some light hazing across the car also, interfering with the clarity of the paint. Indicating that at some stage the car was machine polished but not finished down quite as well as it could have been

Paint readings across the car showed ok levels, especially considering only a light two stage correction would be needed.

Closer shot of those scuffs

Corrected out

The B pillars. Gloss black and the most swirled up part of the car

Corrected (slightly blurry pic. Apologies)

While I was working, a previous client (and friend of this 370Z owner) dropped around for a quick chat and to see how the Zed was progressing. Got this nice shot of the two Nissan's together

After second stage correction. Gloss back up to quite a high level.

The wheels were also hand polished and the faces Opti-Coated Before. The alloy outer rims quite dull and clouded with light scratching

Up close

After polishing

Wheel centers also had quite a large amount of silicone adhesive which had to be painstakingly removed Before

After

Approx over an hour was spent on each wheel, polishing and prepping prior to Opti-Coat. End result
