This car had paint protection film installed and there was some light chemical etching on the paint left behind by the process which had to be machine polished off

Light love marks

A couple of RIDS. Paint levels were quite good so complete removal could be facilitated

More light love marks

The paint protection film itself got lightly corrected to remove some hairline scratches and improve the film clarity

Even on a brand new car there was some gunk on the inside of the badges. This was cleaned up

Here is a shot of the car prior to the coating being applied. This is bare panel just after the panel wipe. It highlights the level of gloss that can be achieved by machine polishing (paint correction) just in the paint itself before a coating is applied. This is the advantage of multi-stage correction. By doing this and not relying as much on the coating itself to provide the gloss it creates a longer lasting result as the majority of the gloss is in the paint itself.

The coating adds a small percentage gloss increase but nowhere nearly as much as what has been achieved during the paint correction process. It is a much more labour-intensive process but the results are worth it. Another pre-coating shot

Final Pics after two layers of Opti-Coat Pro+

With the correction of the paint protection film it is now significantly less obvious visually. There is a line across the bonnet about 50cm up from the lip but it is now barely noticible

The wheel faces were also coated for ease of cleaning

Artsy reflection shot

This M2 has a nice aftermarket carbon diffuser. Much more striking than the factory plastic one
