Here is the car as presented

It only had a little under 4500km on the clock, but there was still much room for improvement as we will see.

The wheels had large amounts or tar build up in all four barrels

Three rounds of tar remover for each wheel and agitation with a toothbrush ended up getting it

Tar remover working away. I think this was the second or third round

Cleared out

There was also tar splatter up both sides of the car. Not big clumps, just lots of small dots here and there along the length

Citrus degreaser was used to break them down quite effectively

Gone

Gunk also stuck in the embossed "Corvette" on the rear bumper

Being removed with citrus degreaser and a cotton bud

The engine bay also got a wipe down and dressing Before

After

Paint inspection and polishing Though the swirling was largely only moderate, the challenge here was the paint hardness. A three stage correction spanning around 13hrs was required to achieve acceptable results Before

The headlights had paint protection film over them which was also swirled up

After. The protection film still had some minor haze as a result of the film itself

As the wheels were chrome, wheel acids were out of the question. Hand polishing was required to clean off some of the hard residue that the wash/decon didn't shift. Before. Lots of baked on residue

After hand polishing

The mud guards on the front wheel arches were very badly faded. A trim restorer was able to somewhat restore them Before

After. Not perfect but a definite improvement

A trim restorer was also used to good effect on the rear lower bumper valance

Final shots. Raining unfortunately, so only garage pics
