BMW Z4M Coupe – Sepang Bronze

DESCRIPTION
As many of you know the Z4M Coupe is close to my heart. Even without owning one it’s fair to say these are on their way to becoming a modern classic. They have all the hallmarks. NA straight six up front under that long bonnet. Manual only. Rear wheel drive. A fantastic recipe for fun. As someone who enjoys peddling his around Tassie twice a year I will certainly never be getting rid of mine!
This particular Coupe recently underwent a complete external respray to freshen it up. The work, completed by the Bodyshop out at Bundoora BMW, is as good as anything I’ve seen outside of full show finished cars. It far exceeds the factory finish these cars originally came out with, and was an absolute pleasure to work on. I had a lot of fun with this one 
. Hats off to the Bundoora guys for providing such a great paint finish to work with.
Befores and afters. Light uniform swirling and hazing. Nothing major. A light two stage correction to enhance the clarity and gloss before two layers of Opti-Coat Pro+ were applied

Some errant sanding marks here and there. To be expected with this extent of work

The aftermarket exhaust needed a fair bit of cleaning up

The M3 wheels and slightly lowered suspension add a level of squat aggressiveness

Those distinctive BMW roundels. Also notice the way the body lines make a "Z", with the diagonal going through the roundel. It's a small and deliberate design cue that many don't pick up on
The Sepang Bronze Metallic flake now quite prominent. It is a very pretty colour indeed

The black grilles (changed from the standard chrome surrounded grilles) make a great addition against the Sepang Bronze
Nicely stanced
The gunmetal M3 wheels make for an interesting contrast to the Sepang Bronze. Unusual but yet I think it works well
