Here are pics as it arrived

The big panels make it hard not to sit up and take notice.

In case you somehow missed it though, the burble of the 351 V8 will make sure it has your attention . It got a light wipe down during the wash to knock off surface dust and whatnot.

Befores and afters. This is where you truly realise how much real estate there is on this car. Even with the vinyl roof there was two full days of paint correction, amounting to nearly twenty hours worth of polishing to get every surface as good as I could make it.

Some of those deep scratches on the front guards

Even right up to the edge of the windscreen

Scratches down the length of the car which gave it a greyish tinge. Back to black now

Scratches on those massive rear guards

More of the front guards

Slight buffer trails on the bonnet.

After chatting with the owner it was decided to use Kamikaze Infinity Wax for the same reason as the Camaro a little while back. The warmer more subtle carnuba look of Infinity Wax just suits older classics much more in my opinion than hard reflective coatings. Infinity Wax applied. It was left for about three hrs before being buffed off. It was a long three hours to wait too, knowing that all that gloss was lurking underneath!

I also set about cleaning up the accessories around the car with Kamikaze Silica Scale Remover and an artists brush. There was about three hours of fiddling and fussing on the car just doing this. The main bonnet ornament. Years of oxidation coming away.

Old wax/polish residue from around the trims

After buffing the wax off I stood back for about ten minutes and just enjoyed the sight. Here are the finals pics after composing myself .

The clear-coated Speedy wheels got a light polish and FK1000P high temp wax

Tyres were cleaned with 3D Magic Blue then coated with Angelwax Elixr.
