Here is the car as presented. It had not had a detail since the owner took possession of it four years ago. It was quite an expensive purchase, not just because of its relatively rare make, but also because it was an excellent example in general.

The paint was very rough, indicating a high amount of oxidation. The paintwork was also quite dull as a result Having said that, the ferrous iron remover picked up very little in terms of deposits stuck to the paint

Foam Pre-Soak

and after a thorough bucket wash and even more thorough physical decontamination (over an hour just for the decon alone), the car was pulled into the garage

First order was to remove the rear wing to be able to polish the underside and also to get access to the full boot lid

The carbon lip on the spoiler wasn't bad but it did have some hazing as can be seen here

Post correction we can see the hazing is gone and gloss is increased

Inspection of the rest of the car. Moderate swirling and a fair bit of water etching. Fairly standard fare for JDM imports.
